Clary Allan is a boutique interior design and project management studio founded by Nicola Allan and Mark Clary.
With over two decades of experience, we specialise in creating refined, high-impact interiors across residential, commercial and hospitality spaces — from private homes and boutique hotels to high-end holiday rentals, conversions and country Estates.
Our approach is rooted in both creative vision and practical delivery. We have led everything from Listed building renovations to large-scale Estate transformations and are often brought in when a project feels daunting or directionless. We can bring clarity, structure, and elegant design solutions that elevate both the space and the investment.
After over 20 years based in Edinburgh, we are now predominantly located in Berkshire but work with clients across the UK. Whether you are an investor, developer or private homeowner, we deliver interiors that work and with the same care and attention we would give to our own property.

Logan, our bi-colour German Shepherd is an integral part of the Clary Allan team. Loyal, inquisitive and always keen to be involved - he brings both personality, presence and a unique energy to our days!
He has a sharp eye (and nose) for good design and is known for keeping us on our toes. He is equally endearing as he is headstrong! Logan brings both structure and chaos to our lives!!

With over 20 years of experience across traditional and contemporary properties, we manage projects from initial concept through to completion. Our work spans full-scale property remodels, Estate developments, commercial refurbishments and standalone design concepts.
We are known for our calm, decisive approach, clear communication, and obsessive attention to detail. Clients trust us to deliver outstanding results – on time, on brief and without unnecessary drama.

No two projects are ever the same; whether you want full end-to-end support or simply need expert guidance to bring your ideas to life, we offer a tailored approach to suit your needs. Our process is collaborative, transparent and built to work around you.
Stage One: Discovery
An in-depth consultation where we get to know you, your property and your goals. We will discuss your style, practical needs, timelines and investment level. From here you can choose how much involvement you would like from us.
Stage Two: Design Direction
We develop the design concept — from mood boards and sample palettes to layout proposals and key material suggestions. This can apply to a single space, an entire home or a larger commercial or residential project. Some clients stop here and take the concept to implement themselves.
Stage Three: Design Development
Once the concept is approved we refine every detail — sourcing furnishings, fittings, materials and bespoke elements. We present costs and options clearly so you remain in control.
Stage Four: Implementation and Project Management
We take care of the logistics — placing orders, coordinating trades and managing timelines. For full-service projects, we provide dedicated project management throughout — overseeing every stage to ensure your vision is delivered on time and on budget. You do not need to chase anyone — we handle the detail.
Stage Five: Installation and Styling
We are on-site to ensure everything is installed as intended and we can style your space down to the final details. The result is a space completely elevated space.
