Stables Cottage

As the largest of the Estate’s one-bedroom cottages, Stables Cottage was designed as the bridal suite when the property hosted intimate weddings.

As a listed building, it required extensive restoration, having been stripped back to the stone, with sections of roof rebuilt and the bay windows remade.

Working alongside the architects, we helped to refine the layout and oversaw the transformation from shell to completion, creating a luxurious retreat that brings together comfort, character and quiet elegance.

A generous bathroom with a roll-top bath and large shower, a cosy lounge with a wood-burning stove, and an open-plan kitchen and dining space gives the cottage a sense of ease and understated luxury.

Soft tones of pale pink and gentle green were introduced throughout to reflect the surrounding landscape and flowers beyond.
